Doing the Most Good

 

"When you Donate and Shop with The Salvation Army, you’ll be Doing the Most Good.  Your donations of gently used goods get resold in our 7 San Diego County Family Stores and are the main source of funding for our Adult Rehabilitation Center” explains Major Henry Graciani, Administrator of The  Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) in San Diego.

"At the ARC, we believe in restoring individuals to their loved ones through a comprehensive program that includes counseling, work therapy and spiritual development" continues Major Graciani.  "Your donation to The Salvation Army helps fund our much needed program where those in the grip of addiction find help, hope and a second chance at life."

The Salvation Army has served the people of the City and County of San Diego since 1887 and we are celebrating 125 years supporting the lives of thousands in our community through our Relief Services Kroc Center and our San Diego Rehabilitation Center (ARC).  Our Family Stores support our substance abuse programs at the ARC.  We have also been strong advocates of recycling since our inception and work aggressively to divert materials away from the landfill and expand recycling practices.  Good furniture with just a scratch or a dent doesn't have to end up in the dump.  Your donation for gently used furniture will help keep our landfills clear and help someone in need right in your own community.

  • complete dining room sets
  • complete hutches
  • dressers
  • desks
  • mirrors
  • artwork
  • large decorations

**The Salvation Army reserves the right to refuse to take any items they deem to be in unsanitary condition.  Furniture donated through this program is tax deductible.  Drivers will give the customer a tax receipt at the time of pick-up.  This program is available for all Jerome’s delivery options, including Same Day Delivery.  Jerome’s will pick up the old furniture and deliver the customer’s new furniture at the same time.  Jerome’s Furniture will pick up furniture from customer’s home on a “set-for-set” basis.  For example, if you purchase a new bedroom set, Jerome’s will take away your old bedroom set.
