MATTRESS BUYING AS EASY AS 1...2...3!
Jerry's personal tips on choosing the mattress that’s best for you.

You know you did a great job buying your mattress if you are still very pleased with your purchase one year later. No matter what the price, you won’t be pleased if the mattress design does not correctly match your favorite sleep position or your weight.
For example, you wouldn’t buy expensive shoes without making sure that the length and width are correct. Paying more is no guarantee of comfort. Buying a mattress is the exact same type of purchase—fit is everything.
Here is how to stack the odds in your favor:
- The absolute best time to shop is on weekends and evenings when our showrooms are less busy. You want a sales associate's undivided attention for at least 20 minutes.
- Ask them to show you a very firm, medium firm, and a soft mattress. Lie in the mattresses in your most favorite sleep position with a pillow if you use one. Choose the mattress that is the most comfortable, and ask to see mattresses with a similar feel. Don’t look at any prices just yet. In your favorite position, you should sink into the mattress enough so that all of your body touches the surface of the mattress. For example, if on your back, there should be no gap behind your knees or under your lower back. You shouldn't sink into the mattress too much so that your sleeping posture varies much from correct standing posture. For example, if on your tummy, your hips should not drop below your chest to the point where there is any strain in your lower back.
- Limit your final choice to 3 mattresses through a process of elimination, comparing one against another. Rank them in order of the comfort they give you. Now, check out the prices. Spend a few more minutes to make your final choice. You are ready to make a good purchase.
