Biography
With years of experience and education in interior design, Elizabeth Jerome provides smart solutions for customers that bring out their sense of style while making the best use of space and functionality. She provides customers with outside design work, where she consults directly with customers on-site at their home or office to formulate an effective space plan. As part of her on-site consultation, Elizabeth takes complete measurements of the space, identifies the customer’s goals and follows up with a set of drawings and ideas that meet the budget demands of the customer. In addition, Elizabeth can be found at Jerome’s Showroom and Clearance Center in Scripps Ranch, where she is highly sought after as a go-to designer for customers to make the best showroom selections and purchases.
Known for her special touch for creating casual elegance, Elizabeth is counted upon as a coach for the entire sales team as she provides guidance and best practices on interior design principles and latest trends. She recommends that the team get inspiration to bring into their everyday design work at Jerome’s from places in San Diego such as a unique piece of artwork, natural elements, meaningful places, and more.
Elizabeth is trusted by countless customers to first understand their unique design concept and how they plan on using their space, so that she can then provide great recommendations. Her ultimate objective is to create the perfect space that her clients will enjoy for years to come. By informing and educating one customer at a time, her customers leave with some knowledge of the design process which includes balance, rhythm, color, proportion / scale and harmony.
Elizabeth is proud to serve as an interior designer with Jerome’s as she feels the company offers something truly unique being family-owned and operated with a firm stance on its value and selection. As a former business owner, she especially appreciates the team’s overall level of commitment and perseverance as it relates to an ever-changing market.
Elizabeth earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interior Design from the Design Institute of San Diego.

“Don’t be afraid of color! Bring in color with your accent rug, curtains, and throw pillows and it will change the whole look of your room! Buy pieces you love and your house will all come together.”
Biography
Stefanie Venter serves as Accessory Buyer and Visual Merchandising Manager with a clear focus to find home décor accessories that give the right “finishing touch” to a room at an affordable price – which Jerome’s customers count on. She develops and maintains the showroom floors by assisting the company’s visual merchandisers with guidance of store planning and the furniture layout. As part of the design team, Stefanie is known for her own sense of style and taste with a keen ability to tailor a look and feel to the personal tastes of her customers. Personally, Stefanie enjoys mixing contemporary and vintage styles together to create a “Granny Chic” style that provides a modern, clean look with a soft and cozy feel.
With eight years of experience in the industry, she incorporates the latest trendsetters into her design philosophy at Jerome’s. Stefanie commonly draws inspiration from photography in Elle Décor Magazine, retail stores such as Anthropologie (which is known to have launched the Granny Chic look) and HGTV’s numerous problem-solving solutions.
As part of the Jerome’s design team, Stefanie has been instrumental in developing J-Club and looks forward to a continued future with the company. Given that an average employee has been with the company for 15 years, she’s excited to be part of a team that evolves with the times and works in a comfortable atmosphere were “everyone is happy.” When assisting customers, friends or family with interior design, her main goal is to help them discover their own unique style and needs, then work toward executing a customized plan. “It’s so easy to look through magazines for inspiration to figure out what you want to accomplish. Helping someone complete their home and have them be thrilled with it is such a great feeling.”
Stefanie’s past experience encompasses work in visual design and merchandising for major retailers including Nordstrom, Old Navy, and Sears. Of special note, she was honored to create and install window displays for Ghirardelli Chocolate in Union Square, San Francisco to set the stage for the company stores throughout California.
Stefanie earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Visual Communications from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in San Francisco.

“Mix textures and patterns! Mixing throw pillows of different prints and textures on a plain sofa or bed is the easiest way to liven it up.”
Biography
Heather Kocan is counted-upon for her interior design sense and breadth of experience as part of the Jerome’s “J-Club” design team. She is known as a resource to support customers in identifying their personal style and makes it accessible for San Diegans to experience interior design expertise. Heather is directly responsible for the placement and merchandising of vignettes at the Jerome’s showrooms in Scripps Ranch and San Diego (Morena Blvd.) locations. She creates inventive ways to display accessories that provide a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for shoppers at Jerome’s.
With a background in interior design and retail, Heather gathers inspiration from the fashion world to provide insight into the process of mixing styles in the home environment. Customers have commented on her ability to make a room “work” with a mix of family antiques, new furniture and unique accessories. She works with each customer to find out their goals on functionality and then finds the right product to suit their personal style. In addition, she works with Jerome’s marketing department to develop the sets for commercials and other photo shoots for the company.
A dedicated employee of Jerome’s, Heather is proud to work for a hometown company that has “so much love for San Diego” and stays involved with the community. As a designer, she enjoys Jerome’s value and ability to change with the times to accommodate the needs of her customers.
Heather earned a degree in Visual Communications design from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree from San Diego State University.
