Jerome’s is proud to support Just in Time for Foster Youth, an organization that works with transitioning foster youth.  Every year hundreds of foster youth face huge obstacles as they age out of the foster care system.  Without the family support that most of us and our children had at that age, these teens are at risk for heading down the wrong path.  Many are unemployed and very few attend college.  Just In Time works with these youth to keep them on a path to self sufficiency.

Recently, Jerome’s partnered with Just In Time to provide one such youth with all the essential pieces of furniture for her new apartment. Our team members were absolutely delighted to meet her and hear her story.   Working full time and going to school, Melanie is studying to be a Marine Biologist.  In her spare time she is working on filling her art portfolio with her own original abstract paintings and drawings.  She also enjoys playing guitar, cooking, and healthy eating habits.
