We had an aweome experience meeting Chargers linebacker, Larry English and his family at his new home in San Diego.  They welcomed us in to take pictures of Larry and Jerry Navarra, Chairman of Jerome’s Furniture, on Larry’s brand new sectional from Jerome’s furniture.  Larry states, “It’s comfortable, and big enough for my family and friends to relax”.  His whole house was decorated with so much style – it felt like a dream-come-true bachelor pad with familial touches to make it cozy.   

Charger’s season is just around the corner with training starting tonight at midnight and the first preseason game in only two weeks! Jerome’s gave Larry his “Best Seat in the House” and now it’s your turn to win the “Best Seat at the Q.”

Our Father’s Day ”Best Dad in San Diego contest,” showed us how MANY great DAD’s there are in San Diego that deserved to watch our Pads from the Best Seat in the House. However, we could only choose one winner, so KC Ports took her Dad, husband and son to the Father’s Day game. In her submission she stated that as long as she can remember her Dad took her to watch the Padres every chance he got.  KC’s Dad has Alzheimers now and had been begging KC to take him to a game. They had a great time, she writes: ”I want to thank everyone again for the awesome day we had. My Dad actually remembers some of the day & the pictures we have help. We also won the trivia contest & chose to use the credit to buy 2 motion love seats. WE LOVE THEM. I’d been searching for theater seating but we didn’t want leather, these are PERFECT! We also won tailgating bbq & stand & I just used it to bbq for 40 people. Easy to clean, BBQ’s Galore threw in the stand, so wonderful. THANK YOU all so much! My Dad, husband, son & I are enjoying all of it. We will treasure that day for years to come,” KC Ports. Congratulations to fourth grader Kelani Allen, Merced Calif. for winning Jerome’s “Create your own dream room” contest. Kelani was one of many children who entered the contest at this year’s KidsWalk, a special part of Mission Federal ArtWalk. With so many creative pictures to choose from, it was really a tough decision for the Jerome’s team. Kelani drew a picture of her dream room (picture on the left), and then was rewarded with a shopping spree to Jerome’s where she picked out furniture that made her vision a reality. Kelani’s mom, Dana Allen writes, “This was truly a great experience for our family; Kelani is still in awe. We are thankful to Jerome’s for hosting such a contest that allows kids to express their dreams through art. We’re sure there were a lot of great entries that were submitted, and it is with humble hearts that we receive such a Blessing.” Congratulations again Kelani, and thank you to all of the children that submitted their dream room. We have created a special wall in our stores decorated with the children’s great entries.
