Living in San Diego we are blessed with one of the most gorgeous places in the world to live.  Sometimes though, the place needs a bit of tidying up.

Jerome’s partnered with I Love a Clean San Diego to sponsor a Beach Clean-Up day at La Jolla Shores.

The festivities began bright and early on Saturday July 28th, but that didn’t stop the volunteers.  We had over 130 people come out and do good deeds!  We scoured the beach from end to end collecting things such as cigarette butts, bottles, scraps of plastic, even shoes!  A grand total of 322 pounds of trash and 37 pounds of recyclables were collected from what many consider to be one of San Diego’s cleanest beaches.

Jerome’s provided some great patio furniture  for beach goers and volunteers to relax on and enjoy the beach in comfort and style.  I Love a Clean San Diego raffled off special prizes to our volunteers too.

All in all it was a great day.  It’s not always fun waking up early on a Saturday, but doing good in the morning sets you up for a feel-good-about-yourself kind of day!
