Score the Winning Touchdown with a Great Super Bowl Party!

Looking for some expert design tips for hosting your best Super Bowl party yet? Well, look no further! You may have seen Heather on TV alongside Jerry advertising Jerome’s popular “room packages” and now she’s here to share her ideas on planning for this weekend’s Super Bowl party!

What party would be complete without festive food and drinks?   We asked Heather what she does to create a memorable experience for her party-goers!

  1. Create a beer sampling station of the popular beers from New York and New England for your guests to try.
  2. Cater your food to be associated with each area like “the New York slice” or “New England Clam Chowder”.
  3. Set up a “Serve Yourself” bar where your guests can mix their own concoctions!  This can be an actual bar or even just a table set up with glasses, alcohol, and fun mixers.

Next, get everyone involved in the fun!  Some of your guests may be more into the game than others.  Heather suggests fun interactive games to play that will keep everyone entertained!

  1. Start a Super Bowl pool based on your predictions for the game’s outcome.  Who will be the MVP?  What will be the final score?  And of course have prizes ready for the winners!
  2. Create “Team Pride” or “Victory” stations.  Not everyone has the gear to support their favorite team… and may feel under-dressed compared to the decked out die hard fans.  Make a Team Pride station to allow those who don’t have the proper apparel to create their own!  Temporary tattoos, face paint, buttons, and colored hair spray (for those who dare!) are just some of the ways your guests can enhance their gear for the Super Bowl and have a lot of fun!

You may also be wondering if you’re going to have enough seating and room for snacks, food, drinks, etc.  Have no fear!  Heather has that covered for you too!

  1. Cocktail tables with tray top seating are ideal for watching the big game while snacking.  Guests can use the tray on their lap to enjoy all the yummy food… no need for more surface area!
  2. Cube ottomans and floor pillows have multiple uses throughout the year and are great for providing extra seating!

And finally we asked Heather for her Top Furniture Picks to enjoy the Big Game!  Here are her choices to ensure your guests have the best seat in the house!

  1. Why did they pick Indianapolis?? I went there for a funeral once. My Dad and I spent Friday seeing Indianapolis and going to the funeral and then we were stuck there Saturday and Sunday because of scheduling complications. We spent Saturday in the hotel just watching TV. It was snowing and raining as it was early March, similar weather to now, and so there was no where to go. Come Sunday we went to Mass at the Cathedral and saw someone while in town and then once again went back to the hotel before leaving Monday morning. Great bonding time but boring city. I think Baltimore, MD is more exciting. Only thing we saw was the speedway on the morning before the funeral. One thing I liked though was the coverage by the local media of John Paul II, who was ill then, as they seemed interested with a report they gave one month before he died.

  2. Ola! Jeromes,
Thanks for the above, After a really rough season and years and years of struggling and hard work the New Orleans Saints have finally won their first Super Bowl! It leads you to wonder what things will be like for them next year? I can’t help but be amazed at the poise that the team, (especially Drew Brees displayed) in this game. It was quite spectacular to say the very least.
    Regards
